I suspect I am the only person ever who isn't a fan of nuts in chocolate of cookies. Wiyhout being allergic, at least.

Nope, not the only one. For me it's an issue of textures - I don't like having harder nuts in softer foods like chocolate, cookies, or brownies.

I'm not a huge chocolate eater! I do like white chocolate, though. Like white chocolate truffles. If I do eat "regular" chocolate, I like lots of fruits and nuts. The fruitier, the better (I like fruit candies best, yum!). :)

I like cranberries. Mmmmmmm. Especially with dark chocolate, so you have bitter and sweet/sour going on at the same time.

Have you tried that bacon chocolate? It's actually good! I like weird flavors - tea, ginger, curry, wasabi, lavender, cardamon, coriander, etc. Chili chocolate is getting popular but all of the ones I've tasted so far have been kind of flat.

The bacon bar is surprisingly tasty, if you like smoky flavored stuff! It's not really any weirder than getting chocolate chip pancakes and bacon at IHOP. I've never had candied bacon - that sounds delicious!

I've had really good Earl Grey chocolate. I'm not a huge fan of Earl Grey tea because the begamot can be cloying, but it works really well in chocolate. Unfortunately it seems that green tea is either overwhelmed or absolutely revolting in most candies... I bought some random Japanese "Green Tea Milk" chocolate once, and it tasted like vomit. x__x

Raspberry with chocolate is heavenly. My mum and I always fight over the raspberry truffles.

Also, the best chocolate shop in the world is in Augusta, Maine, swear to god. It's called Kennebec Chocolates and if you're ever Downeast, you must go there.

Hazelnuts go well as a match and seem to be more of a European thing. Lindt has a lovely dark chocolate with candied orange bar, and another that's dark chocolate with pear (yum!) Also Ritter Sport makes a wonderful chocolate/marzipan bar. For dislikes, I don't care for raisins, much.

Dipping chocolate with fresh fruit (strawberries, bananas, etc.) is the best. :D

MMM yeah, Lindt. They also make a 85% chocolate bar that's dark and bitter and rich, and oh-so-awesome. This question is making me really want chocolate... luckily I have to go grocery shopping today (Friday) so I think I will engage in some self-indulgence. ;)

I love dark chocolate, but the 85% is actually a little too much for me. The other half adores the super-dark stuff though, so we do have it around the house occasionally.

Oh my goodness! The Z Chocolate products look utterly decadent. The descriptions alone are enough to trigger a craving. I bet they were wonderful--although they certainly seem to be something best suited to a special occasion! ^_^

I like a combination of nuts and fruits best. Any combination works for me. Though ... I picked almonds, as that is my default choice.

I love chocolate, but definitely prefer the European kind. It just seems creamier and more chocolaty ^_^
Milk chocolate is my favorite, especially with a creamy milky filling inside... but it only works for certain brands, like Kinderschokolade or Yogurette (yogurt and strawberry filling in milk chocolate... sooo yummy). Hazelnuts and raisins are also nice, and recently I discovered that almonds aren't so bad either. But no peanuts for me. Apart from the fact that my stomach doesn't seem to like them, their taste just doesn't go well with chocolate.

Well, your f-list are chocoholics much?

As per added flavors, liqueurs are always a winner, but I adore soft citrus-y fillings, and for fruit, cherries, strawberries and real orange pieces nom nom nom. Can't stand nuts in chocolate, or anything hard like nougat or toffee etc. Don't know why. I think I like to suck and have it all go gooey and melty in mah mouth!

For nuts: pecans, walnuts, hazelnuts, pistachio.

Other flavorings/ingredients: Aztec (cinnamon, cayenne, very dark and not sweet); raspberries; chai spices; champagne (as in truffles). Etc.

Well, I'm not that big on sweets, including chocolate. I always get shocked looks when I mention this :)...

But I really like a local manufacturer's Christmas chocolate, which is milk chocolate with bits of dried fruits, almonds, and gingerbread/cookies mixed in. YUMMY! Though even with that, a single bar of chocolate can last me several weeks...

In general, I tend to like milk chocolate with some kind of nuts in it.

Pistachio and lavender are two of my favorite additions to chocolate. Otherwise I prefer it as dark and as bitter as possible. No chocolate was ever hurt by adding chili peppers, either.

Also, I was thinking chocolate bars ...

Alas, no. Lindt makes a sort of dark chocolate with a cherry chili filling, but I do not recommend it; the cherry was a miscalculation. If I ever run across a decent spicy chocolate bar, I will let you know.

I like putting in a little black pepper when I make spiced cider or chai.
