I'm not a huge chocolate eater! I do like white chocolate, though. Like white chocolate truffles. If I do eat "regular" chocolate, I like lots of fruits and nuts. The fruitier, the better (I like fruit candies best, yum!). :)
My Russian-born co-worker gave me a giant white-chocolate-and-raspberry bar for Xmas - a genuine Russian one. I thought I would hate it, but one day when I had the munchies, I opened it and had a bit - and it was surprisingly good. I only just finished it off the other day.
LOL, I love coffee-flavored chocolates! I guess I don't like soft fillings that much unless they're fairly non-sweet.
Have you tried that bacon chocolate? It's actually good! I like weird flavors - tea, ginger, curry, wasabi, lavender, cardamon, coriander, etc. Chili chocolate is getting popular but all of the ones I've tasted so far have been kind of flat.
Oooh, that bacon chocolate may be a little too weird for me! On the other hand, my friend Pam's candied bacon is really tasty, so who knows?
I tried a green tea chocolate, but I think the chocolate kind of overwhelmed the tea flavor. There's a spicy Green & Black bar, but I think that's only conventional "sweet" spices.
The bacon bar is surprisingly tasty, if you like smoky flavored stuff! It's not really any weirder than getting chocolate chip pancakes and bacon at IHOP. I've never had candied bacon - that sounds delicious!
I've had really good Earl Grey chocolate. I'm not a huge fan of Earl Grey tea because the begamot can be cloying, but it works really well in chocolate. Unfortunately it seems that green tea is either overwhelmed or absolutely revolting in most candies... I bought some random Japanese "Green Tea Milk" chocolate once, and it tasted like vomit. x__x
Raspberry with chocolate is heavenly. My mum and I always fight over the raspberry truffles.
Also, the best chocolate shop in the world is in Augusta, Maine, swear to god. It's called Kennebec Chocolates and if you're ever Downeast, you must go there.
Hazelnuts go well as a match and seem to be more of a European thing. Lindt has a lovely dark chocolate with candied orange bar, and another that's dark chocolate with pear (yum!) Also Ritter Sport makes a wonderful chocolate/marzipan bar. For dislikes, I don't care for raisins, much.
Dipping chocolate with fresh fruit (strawberries, bananas, etc.) is the best. :D
MMM yeah, Lindt. They also make a 85% chocolate bar that's dark and bitter and rich, and oh-so-awesome. This question is making me really want chocolate... luckily I have to go grocery shopping today (Friday) so I think I will engage in some self-indulgence. ;)

Oh my goodness! The Z Chocolate products look utterly decadent. The descriptions alone are enough to trigger a craving. I bet they were wonderful--although they certainly seem to be something best suited to a special occasion! ^_^

Pistachio and lavender are two of my favorite additions to chocolate. Otherwise I prefer it as dark and as bitter as possible. No chocolate was ever hurt by adding chili peppers, either.
So where do you get your chili chocolate? Is there a brand you like, or is it all locally made?
