European chocolate often does seem to have a better texture. One of the reasons I like Chocolove more than some of the other brands that I can get easily (I buy chocolate mostly at Whole Foods, with my other groceries) is its smooth, rich texture.
I like dark chocolate best, but European milk chocolate is much nicer than U.S., generally.
