chomijiOn the other hand, the family room addition to my sister's house (about 25-minutes' drive from ours) was crushed by a large falling tree.
The weatherfolk are calling for storms tonight as well, but it should be the more-usual "scattered thunderstorms" and nothing like last night's derecho event (link to WaPo).

Date: 2012-07-01 04:25 pm (UTC)I was watching on Friday night with a sort of horrified fascination. Our big old red oak in the front yard was thrashing its huge limbs like (as the Mr. said) a Walloping Willow. But it didn't lose anything major, thank goodness.
