I love her for her ability to see humor - even at her own expense - in even the worst situations ("Take up knitting snake cozies?"), and for her personal sense of honor and loyalty to her friends.
(And she is one of my very favorite characters ever, too!)
Point taken on the meme ... but I got curious as to what people will ask (and I got requests from people who haven't stopped by for a while, as well, which was a nice surprise).
I think you know the answer to this ... I didn't love Yaone very much at first, but when she and Doku defied Kou's orders and came after him, I loved that she had overcome her need to obey and her caution for the sake of a person she loved - even though it was that same person's orders.
(That's actually a theme that C.J. Cherryh likes - the good servant who proves how good s/he is by defying orders or conditioning to do what really needs doing.)

I love Kannan for .... her decisiveness!
More whole-heartedly, I love Tremaine for her ability to look past her own issues and take an active and productive interest in other people's problems. And also for her snark.
(Not FMA, no. I can recognize a picture of Riza, but that's about it.)
I love Revy because she's violent id unleashed in a way female characters usually aren't, and also I love her grudging, dawning sense of connection to Rock.
I love how she is cheerfully serene almost all the time, carrying out her duties with quiet competence, and yet feels things so deeply at the heart.
(Did you see that in the 35/36 omake, sensei had a biography for Kosuke? But it made no sense, timeline-wise, because we see Kosuke at about age 12 or 13 in "Dragon of the Blue Sky" ... I have my own biography for her, which I should write up sometime.)
(No, I hadn't seen that, but frustrating that it doesn't match up timeline-wise. Would definitely like to hear your version some time. You're good with details.)
