So my friend who has seen it says it's a very different kind of angst compared to saiyuki. Not really humor very much drama angst. It does have plot that gets lost and then found again.
(They liked the first series but did not like the second season; would recommend manga only for second season on. As they diverged from manga in hodge pudge way).
