IntarWebs Connection Issues at Home
Dec. 19th, 2007 05:40 pmEarthlink's DSL setup has been a little dicey this last week or so. Last night, I came home to find the Young Lady in a state of high aggravation because she couldn't get online. A call to Earthlink eventually solved it - I saw the ready light come back on, signed on and re-set-up the connection, and it was fine ... until they called back, bless their pointed heads, on the same line as the modem, to check my status. At that point, the connection dropped and didn't resume for about 30 minutes.
I'm hoping it's feeling a little better tonight ... we need our IntarWebs! The IntarWebs are our life!

I'm a terrible customer for Earthlink over this, because I used to do data communications troubleshooting professionally myself, and even though this equipment is different, the principles are the same. So I get very crabby with them over the phone when they tell me to check something that either (1) I've already checked or (2) is completely irrelevant.
