Not Quite Myself - or Maybe Moreso Than Ever

So either Anthony (right) from "Samurai Deeper Kyo" is having a bad influence on me, or perhaps it's a mid-life crisis. I have two piercings in each ear, but I haven't bothered with earrings in the second set for more than 15 years now. On Friday night, apropos of nothing, I was inspired to put earrings into them. It took a bit of effort, particularly on the right one, which plainly didn't see why it needed to put up with additional chunks of metal after all these years. But it worked eventually, and now even the stubborn one has almost stopped hurting ... .

Of course The Young Lady noticed right away, and after kindly offering me the loan of some of her tiny earrings from when she first had hers done 3 years ago, she started agitating for a second set herself. "Maybe for your 16th birthday," says I.

I suppose the tattoo I've always wanted is the logical next step. But then she'll want one too ... .
