There's a Nip in the Air

Outside it's cool - 53°F (11.5°C) - and raining lightly: not good weather for the Takoma Park Street Festival, but it's happening anyway. I can hear the music from the band playing on the Columbia Avenue Stage, which is set up right at the end of our street.

I made a big pot of oatmeal this morning, and in response to my question about whether he'd also like some eggs, the Mr. requested French toast, because I'd bought a loaf of challah when I was running errands with the Young Lady yesterday. We have real maple syrup for it, and we had fruit juice (mine orange, his grapefruit) and tea: a very satisfactory breakfast for an autumn day.
