LJ Is Having Issues

I put in a support ticket when it was still up some of the time (last night), complete with the error messages and numbers.

Most of my friends are still on LJ, so this makes me feel sad and disconnected.

At least they have now change their public-facing message on LJ Status. The official twitter Twitter feed still shows only bupkis.

Yeah, I'm a little frustrated by this. It's been down since early this morning. But I can only assume they are working as fast as they can to resolve the problem, whatever it is.

Maybe you can use this to persuade some more of your friends to sign up to DW? They don't have to post anything here necessarily, but if they have an account then it gives them a way to keep in touch while LJ's down. And who knows, maybe they might decide they like it.

I make a lousy evangelist. I never like to tell people what they ought and ought not do. My directions to my daughter come out like this: "Dinner's almost ready. The table needs to be set."

So aside from saying "At least I was able to read people's stuff on DW while LJ was down," I am not likely to do any persuading.

However, you have reminded me that I need to add to my reading page a number of people who are already cross-posting. That would probably help, and I keep forgetting to do it.

Does DW let you add feeds to the reading page, as LJ does?

Yeah, a lot of my f-list seem to be having the same trouble. :(

Why is it that LJ code releases always seem to break their basic functionality.
