I've been having much too much fun with my icons. At first I felt very protective and parental and didn't want to let any of them go, but now that I have lots of them, I don't mind so much ... and it's very warm and fuzzy to see them show up in other folks' posts.

Some Notes:
9. Lyrics adapted from those of a traditional British folk tune.
10. With apologies to certain boutique popular with Gen Y.
12. Inspired by the Young Lady, who said that Gojyo's going-adventuring wardrobe in the first books made her think of what happens when you let preschoolers dress themselves.
27. Yes, I know, everyone makes an icon out of this picture. But there's so little good Furuba art online. Let me know if you have a pipeline to some more! (And besides, I messed with his mouth a little to make it look more like the manga Hatori.) Lyrics from The Who, of course, in "Tommy."
28. Ummm ... there may be a generation gap issue here. The reference is to Dr. Suess' immortal work On Beyond Zebra.
29. Lyrics from folksinger Carrie Newcomer (song: "It's Not OK")
If there's another one I use regularly that you'd like to have, you can always ask ... (the ones I still feel the most protective about are the Yukimura ones I use regularly), and I love making them by request too.
ETA: And I meant to put all the disclaimers: no hotlinking to my poor Earthlink account, please credit, etc. etc.

Date: 2008-10-27 09:09 pm (UTC)I just couldn't resist the Ikkaku icon - he is so much win.
(Do you mind if I friend you? No worries if you'd rather I don't ^_^)

Date: 2008-10-27 09:14 pm (UTC):-D
I use that one myself whenever I need to explain something!
No, that's fine, and I'll friend you back in that case - we seem to have at least half a dozen interests in common. I'll warn you, though, that I'm a middle-aged slash-writing she-geek ... .

Date: 2008-10-27 09:20 pm (UTC)Hooray! Sounds spectacular.
I'm a 20 year old femslash-writing she-geek. I mean, I write het sometimes... ish.... and maybe someday I will build myself up to slash. (Inevitably, in fact, since I already promised a friend to write a pairing for her.)
Actually, my geekery is taking over at the moment: I got a friend into an RP, and she app-ed Yumichika, and now there is a tug-o'-war about if I should app Rukia or Ikkaku....
I am going to app Ikkaku because of that icon. Seriously. I was torn, and now I am not. ^_^

Date: 2008-10-28 03:15 am (UTC)So it's cringingly embarrassing for me to ask because I once upon a time actually wrote stuff (for pay!) for tabletop RPGs, but what exactly does "app" entail in an online RP?
I love Yumichika and Ikkaku! I agree with meganb's comment that Bleach tends to be gen, but if I ship anything in that series, it's Ikkaku/Yumichika ... .

Date: 2008-11-01 07:47 pm (UTC)Yeah. I mean, I totally can see Yumichika as either asexual because no one is pretty enough, or with Ikkaku. They are, even if they are just friend, platonically in-love. If... that makes any kind of sense.
(I totally just started shipping Rangiku/Nanao, and it completely blindsided me)
