A tornado warning was issued. But although our recycling bins got blown around and some small tree branches came down, we never lost power (although it flickered several times). When I headed out after the rain had mostly stopped, because I had grocery shopping to do, I found trees down along MD 410 and other roads, and traffic lights out for miles. I couldn't pick up anything at the drugstore because they had shut for lack of power.
Apparently the power to the Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission's largest filtration plant went out as well, so we're all under water restrictions. (We missed the first round of that this month because we were on vacation - the earlier one was caused by a failed water main.)
