Happy New Year!
Jan. 1st, 2010 12:04 amWe usually (for more than 25 years now) have a tremendous New Year's dinner with friends ... but they both had pneumonia in December. The husband was ill enough that he was hospitalized for a week. So we had a potluck at their place instead (everything from banh mi to chocolate-dipped macaroons) and were back home by 11:00. The teenagers across the street are setting off fireworks right now ... ours is sleeping over with our friends who have a daughter her age, and we'll see them all at brunch tomorrow.
So I'm feeling very old-fogey-ish right now!
Everyone, have a wonderful, healthy, happy new year!
