This Weekend's Snow (December 19, 2009 - DC-area Snowcapolypse)

I should have walked around yesterday and taken pictures of the neighborhood (Takoma Park, MD), but I was too pooped after shoveling. Anyway, I did take a few around the house.

 

My poor car, almost completely buried - and the snow was still falling.
 

Our trash cans give an idea of the actual snowfall amount ... it was still falling at this point.

Those are gorgeous, but I cringe at the idea of having to dig my car out of the snow or shovel driveways. And it looks so cold! *shiver*

WOW VERY PICTURESQUE BUT I WOULD HAT TO SHOVEL IT MYSELF AGAIN JUST SO PRETTY TO LOOK AT BUT STILL I WOULD HATE TO BE IN IT UNLESS ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY.

That's an intense snowfall. I had no idea how deep it was, especially if you don't have the ploughs or snow storage areas to dump it. Not only that, but it will be hellish if there is a sudden very warm thaw because that will cause flooding.

Been there! And I'm kinda jealous; winter isn't winter if you aren't dragged out of bed at 6AM to shovel yourself out of the house at least once.
