Found, 2; Lost, 1; Still Missing, 1

So my autographed American Gods showed up in the basement rec room, cleverly hidden under stacks of video and DVD boxes. And my floppy sun hat (actually a white cotton canvas fisherman's hat, styled like an Aussie bush hat) showed up neatly folded in one of the many pockets of my go-to-work totebag.
In the other hand, the bent-handled cheese knife is still at large (perhaps still keeping company with telophase's missing scissors?), and the gremlins have now kidnapped Saiyuki vol. 9, which pisses me off because I was in the middle of a re-read!
>sigh<

Date: 2007-06-28 05:39 pm (UTC)My favorite manga live in the hutch nearest our bed, and my favorite kids'/YA books in a small bookcase nearby. The other current manga are in a bookcase in my front room/home office, so all 3 of us can get to them without bothering anyone. But American Gods should have been with the other classy hardbacks in one of the livingroom bookcases - Lord knows how it got downstairs. Usually I'm the only one who seriously rearranges anything in the name of cleaning up in the common areas of the house, and I wouldn't have brought it down there!
I think SR 9 went wandering off because I had printed out the detailed analysis someone did of the Mahjong game, and I needed someplace to spread that out while I went through that section of the manga again.

Awwww, shucks, ma'am! ;-)

Date: 2007-06-29 01:33 am (UTC)Yeah, the way the Gaiman managed to hide so thoroughly when it was a big, fat hardback makes me really worry about finding the manga, since it's a fairly skinny paperback. I can buy another copy, but that feels so ... silly. It's got to be here somewhere!
