I'm gonna take your Hanukah icon...because there are folk out there who are annoyed with the "Christocentric" idea of Yuletide, if you can believe it (I'm not one of them, just a happy Jewish girl who couldn't care less). So in honor of the "others," I will snag that one! Thanks for having the foresight to make it.

Hee! I'll be lighting candles on my own hanukiyyah in December ... but given that Yule was a pagan holiday, I feel that the name of the challenge has come to imply more of a solstice-y "strike a light against the darkness" theme. And at their roots, Hanukah and Christmas (and New Years, both solar and lunar) are solar/fire festivals ... .
