One of the temple pieces snapped clean through, right up next to the hinge.
The Mr. is trying to superglue them, but I don't hold out much hope. It's a very small surface area.
I am wearing my old glasses ... I can feel an eyestrain headache coming on already.

Date: 2009-05-26 07:08 pm (UTC)I am saved! The optician in Union Station (the main Washington DC rail station, which has a small shopping mall that caters to travelers and which is next to my office) put on a new temple piece for only $15, which is money well spent as far as I'm concerned!

Date: 2009-05-28 03:49 pm (UTC)Glasses are one of the things that I don't mind changing from time to time! And for me, the cost of the lenses is always three or four times the cost of the frames, too: lineless bifocals + -8.5 diopters (main) + extra-thin lenses (or they'd look like coke bottle bottoms) + antiglare coating ... it adds up.
