chomijiThis was from ginnyvos, who assigned me Jien a/k/a Dokugakuji (in the icon, which is by meganbmoore), Gojyo's older half-brother, from Saiyuki:

I certainly do. Poor guy - it's not easy to be the older sibling in a family with a mentally ill parent.
- What name/s do you call this character?
Often just "Doku," because his real name is so long.
- What image-color do you associate with this character?
First I said "white," which is what he's usually wearing, but after thinking about it, I decided on a deep blue, reflecting his loyalty, water youkai (kappa) heritage, and sadness.
- What image-song do you associate with this character?

LOL! Really, for Western participants, a Zodiac sign might be more pertinent. I guess Type A, looking at the list on TV Tropes. And Capricorn for his Western Zodiac sign, poor guy - mostly serious, but with a side of snark.

... Probably Kougaiji, if anyone.
- What would you want to say to this character?
"Doku-san, you've done the best you could for Gojyo and Kougaiji. They're both grown men now, and you can't claim all the responsibility for yourself. Take a little of the load off your shoulders, and smile. You're a good person."

Invite him to a party with his best friends, serve him some good beer, and watch him chill out and relax.

Date: 2009-05-02 02:05 am (UTC)I don't think Doku's a Type A; it's not quite him. Plus Gojyo's a Type B and I'm not sure you can have half-brothers whoe are A and B...maybe if Dad was AB I guess?

Date: 2009-05-02 02:19 am (UTC)Well, you could be absolutely right about the blood type, but when there are only 4 categories, most of the fits won't be right anyway. (I'm A neg, just for the record.) But my gosh, I certainly wasn't thinking of the logic of real world human blood type genetics here ... I mean, they're youkai (and half youkai) ... who knows what the blood types would be?

I actually did make a half-hearted attempt to see whether anyone had Doku's birthday written down anywhere, though!

(once again, father and mother can be changed around)
