Reputation of Our Librarians Redeemed

And in a marked contrast to events as reported (locked) last week, our reference librarian brought me a big serving of home-made chicken vegetable soup. With fresh dill! And parsnips! (I actually like parsnips.)

Her office shares a wall with mine - I guess my wracking cough has made a big impression – bless her.

People hate parsnips? I LOVE them. Roasted with salt and pepper and extra virgin olive oil... YUM. (I usually make root veggies with them also: potatoes, carrots, turnips etc.)

Neither the Mr. nor the Young Lady eat those things. I love 'em. My mom used to make one helluva beef-barley-mushroom soup with carrots and parsnips - delish!

It's mostly the other two! They're not that fond of sweet potatoes either. I'm constantly ordering both of those whenever I see them elsewhere!
