Yuletide ...
Dec. 15th, 2008 07:16 amThe word count tool says I have 1319 words. The down side is that plot-wise, that's only about a quarter of the story.

Anyway, I feel like garbage, so I'm staying home today. Maybe I'll be able to work on it, maybe not.

Date: 2008-12-16 05:31 pm (UTC)Well, last year's Yuletide was, IIRC, about 17,000, so this isn't really new!

Date: 2008-12-16 05:34 pm (UTC)Ibuprofen helped, presumably by reducing the swelling in my sinuses and taking care of the achy joints. I try to avoid combo cold medications because I sometimes don't react well to the ingredients. And I drank lots of my sis-in-law's "brew," which is tea (I use decaf), fruit juices (esp. citrus), honey, and spices.
I'm back at work today but it isn't thrilling. I didn't sleep well. How are you all doing?

Date: 2008-12-17 04:35 pm (UTC)I sort of make it up as I go along. Today (I stayed home again) it was about 3 cups of decaf tea, a quarter cup of honey, a broken-up cinnamon stick, 6 cloves, a chopped-up chunk of preserved ginger, 1½ cups leftover mulled cider (from our D&D holiday party Saturday), half a cup orange-tangerine juice, and half a cup 100% cranberry juice. Heated slowly.
