I'd like to be in a heterosexual marriage, but I'm an old maid and likely to remain so. Don't see anyone showing any interest in changing that. The whole marriage issue leaves me feeling terribly ambivalent because I can't seem to separate out my own bitterness, even though it's not part of the issue, and it's unfair of me to let it affect my feelings about people who would and should get married if they were permitted to.

Sorry, I seem to be having one of my regularly scheduled depressions about my lack of love life.

Great idea posting this. I'm not in a marriage right now but I feel very strongly that whoever wants to be in one should be able to do so and it's nobody else's business.
