I don't have an iPod, but I did this anyway! The process involved generating random numbers with an Excel spreadsheet ... .
Like everyone else, I skipped things that weren't in English.
Meme:
- Put your music player on Random.
- Post the first line from the first 32 songs that play, no matter how embarrassing the song
- Let everyone guess what song and artist the lines come from.
- Bold the songs when someone guesses correctly.
And ... here we go:
- The daylight's fading slowly, but time with you is standing still
- We're coming to the edge, running on the water
- If you loose your faith, babe, you can have mine,
- I remember the nights I watched as you lay sleeping
- She can kill with a smile, she can wound with her eyes
- You ought to see your face; you ought to hear your voice
- Workin’ Friday night down at the Alley
- Operator, well, could you help me place this call?
- It was 100 degrees as we sat beneath a willow tree
- "The problem is all inside your head", she said to me
- She says it's been so long she can't remember when
- Desert loving in your eyes all the way
- Darling don't you understand, I feel so ill at ease
- Turned on the weather man just after the news
- He had a dream haunting him at night
- While the poor people sleepin' with the shade on the light
- I've been sitting up waiting for my sugar to show
- Hey, your glass is empty / It's a hell of a long way home
- Walking like a ghost in my own movie
- Lights out tonight, trouble in the heartland
- Just a kiss, just a kiss / I have lived just for this
- I am just a poor boy, though my story's seldom told
- You look frenzied, you look frazzled, peaked as any alp
- Is it too much to ask? I want a comfortable bed that won't hurt my back
- When the road gets dark, and you can no longer see
- Out on the street - you'd better get on home
- The language of love slips from my lover's tongue
- And now I'm all alone again, nowhere to turn, no one to go to
- Tell me, where did Helen go? This is where she had her dwelling
- If I could turn the page / In time then I'd rearrange just a day or two
- Johnny take a walk with your sister the moon
- I'll buy you six bay mares to put in your stables
