I don't think I could watch the SDK anime at all, at this point. Kamijyo is not an artist the way that Samura or these guys we've been discussing are, but her drawings are sensitive enough that the stills I've seen from the anime flip me out. (And they made Yukimura have blue eyes! He has light brown/hazel eyes - there's a significant scene late in the series where someone comments about his "golden" eyes.)
Yes, Yukimura is a sneaky kind of guy and an ethical leader kind of guy and a trained but slightly psycho killer kind of guy - all hidden behind the booze and easy charm! (You can read my Sanzo/Yukimura snippet now, BTW, and get the joke.) I think you'll really enjoy his two-issue gaiden at the end of vol. 11.
(And yes, I really love the Grey Mouser! And you need to get hold of the P.C. Hodgell books - heck, I can lend you the first couple. The lead character is a sort of snarky female Grey Mouser character except she also has some god-level powers that she can barely control.)
