If you really want to get weird about it, you can swap half-used imps and stuff on LJ comms like bpalmarketplace or sinandsalvation - then you can get all of those discontinued or rare ones without waiting for BPAL's slow shipping~ And people on those comms usually toss in a free imp or some candy or tea with your order, which is cool. (also, you can easily unload the stuff you didn't like and try new ones!)
