This is a side-effect of wanting to comment on something I read on the Love Deeper community here ... I hadn't really thought of doing a blog/journal. But here it is, and I guess it gives me something to add in my sig block on my boards!

I'm wondering how long it will take, with this userpic + legend, for someone to wonder whether I'm a Marine. I'm not ... that person is one of the Juuyuushi - the Ten Brave Warriors - of Sanada Yukimura in the manga "Samurai Deeper Kyo," which is my current obsession. The Juuyuushi are intensely loyal and faithful to Yukimura, so the motto - which Wiki tells me is also used by several families and a couple of cities - seemed very appropriate. And I picked this one of the Ten because s/he is the only one that looks even vaguely like me.

Given the number of male characters I've roleplayed in games over the years, it doesn't bother me that it's a boy.
