In Girl Scout camp, we had Spam. Now, the bold doesn't mean you liked whatever-it-was, just that you've eaten it. Spam was OK, though. I loathed black pudding, and haggis tastes just like scrapple, and to hell with 'em both!

I don't like organ meats in general, actually!

Yeah, the veg are sadly neglected. Where is kohlrabi? Parsnip? Salsify?

I wonder if some of it is that on the mainland, Spam got associated with poverty/lower-class-ness? It's fairly cheap and keeps well, after all.

My mom used to fry up slices of Spam. Good times. :D
