Well, This Is a First

Amazon and Pandora have both recommended a group called the Lumineers for me. I don't think they've ever come up with the same group for me at the same time like this.

Pandora played me one cut, which was pleasant but not perfect: certainly none of the happy head rush that I felt when I first heard "Can You Hear Me" by Poets of the Fall or "Little Talks" by Of Monsters and Men. I guess I'll see what else is up by them on YouTube. Anyone else familiar with them?

Saiyuki Rec - An Oldie but Far-More-Than Goodie

As indelicateink pointed out the other day, this is the anniversary of louiselux and emungere's awesome, many-chaptered Saiyuki 585 AU "Cupidity," which came out day by day, five days a week, for several wonderful weeks in November-December 2007. I'm rereading it again, and the scary parts still make my breath come short, the funny parts still make me grin, and the hot parts ... are still very hot.
