Early Mornin' Surrealism

I don't post on neilgaimanboard very often, but I always like to check in there because there's usually something odd going on.

This morning, people were discussing whether they'd met the parents of other board members (a/k/a posters). As usual, things quickly started to go off the rail:

Cavenagh:	I thought posters sprang into existence by rising from the foamy oceans, riding on various seashells whilst they comb their hair and play the kazoo.
BeeZee:	Posters on the half-shell mmmmmmmm..........
Cavenagh:	I see the rum is running low again.
silly zombie punk:	i can't play the kazoo!
BeeZee:	It is ever thus   :(
...	...
Mystery Guest:	*places sword in front of SP [Silly Punk, a/k/a silly zombie punk] and waits for her to do the honourable thing*
silly zombie punk:	*stabs the kazoo*

(I guess stuff like this happens on chat all the time, but this way, it's preserved for those of us who don't have time to chat ... .)

OMG, It's RAINING!

I don't know how long it's been since we've had rain - weeks, it seems - but now it's dark and thundering and coming down buckets.

Now I'm worrying that our big dead tree (which is still there) will fall over. But I guess it would have to rain for a couple of days for the earth to get soft enough for that to happen.
