Quick Manga Question

So the compilations of weekly or monthly manga serial issues are called tankoubon in Japanese.

Is it appropriate to use that term for the English compilation volumes?

I've never heard it used that way, but I don't see why not...

I hear "tankoubon" used a lot in place of "volumes." Knock yourself out.

I use tankoubon mostly for Japanese stuff, but sometimes I slip up and use it for English ones and nobody I know looks at me funny... and I've heard people call them "tanks."
