How did I never find this before?

Dave Grohl performing "Who Are You?" for Townsend and Daltrey. Ceelo performing "Tears of a Clown" for Smokey Robinson. Beyonce performing "The Way We Were" for Barbra Streaisand.

The years of memories on the faces of the honorees as they watch the tributes, their lips moving to the old, familiar lyrics. The pride and enthusiasm of the tribute artists as they glance up to see their idols watching them. The reaction cuts to the celebrities and other honorees: President Obama! Steven Spielberg! Dolly Parton!

ETA: OMG! Aretha Franklin singing "You Make Me Fell (Like a Natural Woman)" for Carole King! King reacts OH SO MUCH! King and Franklin are SERENADING each other!

Awesome, thanks for the links :D

ETA: O M G; especially Aretha.

In Return let me send you down my current rabbit hole with one performance, which has made me completely lose my hours recently, of watching almost every live performance of the group. It's not even my favourite song of theirs but it is one of their strongest and best filmed live performances: Shinee - Excuse Me Miss - it's not soul, but it is RnB, I'd say.

If I find the energy I want to write the fascination up. I hope I do, sometime this summer.
