It's raining lightly, and the wind has picked up and is getting gusty.
U.S. Office of Personnel Management has spoken: federal government offices in the National Capital Area will be closed tomorrow. (Emergency/vital personnel must still report; those with existing telecommuting arrangements are expected to telecommute as usual, for as long as they are able.)
Most of the local school systems are going to shut down, either just for Monday or for both Monday and Tuesday.

Well, there goes any plan of sneaking in there to re-charge anything ... though I really didn't want to be on that stretch of the Red Line just north of Union Station anyway ... it's scary enough when there isn't a hurricane blowing.

Maybe they'll be kind and give everyone administrative leave after the fact, considering we're basically dead center in the path of a hurricane.

Yeah, I don't think I'd try to drive downtown anyway. The Mr. just heard that his work place is shut down too.
It rots that you'd have to use leave, though.
