Some reviewers I've read are miffed with Ewing, because the artist doesn't come up with a specific plan or specific answers to the issue of gender in today's society
Seems like a strange thing for those reviewers to be complaining about. Someone's experience of gender is very personal and will never be exactly the same as someone else's. I dunno if you can "solve" the question of gender aside from letting people explore and choose their identities without judgment.
