Oh, I know you don't - I was just hoping for some opinions from those whom I know have read both series.

Fubuki is the chap with the mane of white hair, on the left. His title is "High Necromancer," and he is utterly ruthless in pursuit of his cause, even to the point of using those dearest to him (like Hishigi, in black, on the right side) quite heartlessly.
That's so true. His hair gets its own doujinshi gag strips; in one of them, his little black-and-white cat gets lost in his hairdo, and Hishigi has to come to the rescue!
(I have Shinrei as the icon because he was Fubuki's student.)
