Farmers Market Haul, June 2, 2013
Clockwise from upper left: snow pea shoots, extra large brown eggs, asparagus, rye with caraway bread, struan bread, chicken empanadas (in bag), calverly cheese, poppy seed hamentaschen, strawberries, tomatoes (probably greenhouse-grown at this point), snap peas, Persian cucumbers.

The Stone Hearth Bakery ... the one with the Latino specialties and the pre-sliced bread (as opposed to Atwater's, with the homemade soups and hefty, crusty whole-loaf bread).
I'm sorry you're sore! The last couple of weekends, no one from our house got there early enough for the Ferry Landing eggs or the better breads at Atwater's.

Well, I did it to myself. Gardening is a lot of bending and lifting, especially if you're transplanting a lot of plants, which is what I did today. Fortunately, I wake up early enough that's it's not beastly hot, but you do wind up being quite hot and sticky anyway.
I know that problem -- Praline Bakery at the SS market often sells out of all the sweet baked goods in the first hour.

I used to be an active gardener. Now I never seem to have time for it. Maybe I'll go back to it when I retire (still at least 5 years off and more likely 10).
